I’m really looking foward to this weekend. Not doing anything special, but I can feel free to paint. During the week I have to work on web design and since I’m a freelance I need to be disciplined or else I don’t get my work done.
Speaking of which, I have been working very little, specially since I started uploading my work and getting hooked to this comunity. Internet is a really bussy life if you let it grown on you and you have to keep up with so many comunities!!
Now I’m working on a new flash project for a Beauty Salon. I know it sounds really amateurish, right? making a web for my hairdresser, but it’s a good place to meet people because a beauty salon is actually a great community center. All women have to go to the beauty salon at least once a month. Ehm, not you? well you should, it is very good to keep your self esteem up.
It’s also a good chance to work with models and photographers. Special photos were made of girls and boys all dressed up with make-up and haircuts and hairdos, and they were made at a fashionable club too. It was cool to meet a woman photographer who is well into the art scene here in my little town on the Costa Brava, Blanes. Her photos are alright, specially considering that she had to make photos of a large group of people, but from an artistic point of view they were nothing special. Next time cyteck and I will make the photos, starting out with a story and some simple acting lines for the models. Poses are alright, but they always look the same. There is a need to improvisation and spontaneity, and that is actually the direction where fashion photography is going.
I’ve been wanting to do something fashion for some time. It would be neat to make webs for beauty products like make-up and hair products. It’s a great market and who knows, my cache might grow and of course, with fashion you can be so much more creative.
