Anti-spam plugin for wordpress
My friend Coffelius has used the human reading technique to fight the spamming bots which have been attackig our blogs. This plugin ads a graphic generated number which you need to read and then write on a new field of the post to be able to post. This way only humans will be able to comment a post.
We won’t need to keep comments moderated which is a pain in the A**
All you need to do is copy the code blocks commented with “coffelius was here” from both files wp-comments.php and wp-comments-post.php and copy them to your original files making sure you add them on the right place. Then add the plugin file trencaspammers.php to your plugins folder and activate it.
note: you’ll probably need to change the line calling the file with your complete domain url
That’s all.

Mi amigo Coffelius ha usado la técnica de lectura humana para luchar contra los bots de los spammers que han estado atacando nuestros blogs. Este plugin añade un número generado gráficamente que necesitas leer y luego escribir en un nuevo campo del comentario para poder hacer el post. De esta manera solo los humanos podrán hacer comentarios.
Ya no necesitaremos mantener los comentarios moderados que tanto tiempo nos llevan.
Lo único que necesitas es copiar los bloques de código comentado con “coffelius was here” de ambos ficheros wp-comments y wp-comments-post.php y añadir el fichero del plugin trencaspammers.php a tu carpeta de plugins y activarlo. Probablemente necesites cambiar la linea que llama al fichero con tu dominio completo. Eso es todo.

Hola a todos,
Saludos Esther y Cek, después de llevar mucho tiempo leyendo vuestros respectivos blog, me he decidido a crear mi propio blog. Y si se puede aquí realizo la presentación.
otra cosa el ficherito del trencaspamer está comprimido con rar, ¿podría estar comprimido en zip?. Ya que en muchos linux no está instalado el rar y cuesta más descomprimirlo.

jeje seguramente no detecto que eres humano
quizás se deba a que no tienes instalado el GD en tu server. Es una librería del Linux.

Al final he hagut de pendre medides, perque últimament estava rebent molts comentaris de SPAM. Després d’analitzar les possibles solucions com la moderació i varios plugins o hacks de wordpress que hi ha per a dificultar la tarea del spammer he acabat…

¿os habéis dado cuenta de que la aclaración de coffelius no aparece? Me refiero a las líneas de código que hay que sustituir.

Hola morga,
lo que tienes que hacer es abrir wp-comments y y wp-comments-post.php con un editor como Bloc de notas. Directamente no te lo abrira, tienes que abrirlo tu con el Bloc de notas (o otro editor de texto o web). Entonces tienes que encontrar las lineas comentadas de coffelius y copiarlas, abrir los ficheros originales que tienes en tu wordpress del mismo modo, y pegarlo. Recuerda de hacer una copia de seguridad de los dos ficheros originales.
Si tienes el wordpress instalado nuevo y no le habias modificado nada, lo que puedes hacer es sustituir los dos ficheros directamente. Una vez más te aconsejo que hagas una copia de seguridad de los dos antes de sustituirlos.

es cierto, el trencaspammers exige la intalación de libgd, lo que por su parte exige la instalación de gcc++ para hacer el build. Maldito sea! No tengo el gcc+ instalado. Voy a tener que encontrar una formar de hacerlo….

Hola Esther, estoy tratando de instalar el Trenca pero en WP 1.5 (version trasnoche 23 enero) los archivos de comments tienen un codigo bastante diferente (o sea que no se puede ubicar donde poner el texto de Cofelius) y el comments.php se llama commentsrss2.php
Se puede instalar Trenca en estas ultimas versiones beta de WP?

Hola Juan, no me he mirado el nightly, pero por lo que me dices me suena que te estas mirando el fichero equivocado. Creo que comments rss2 es un xml, un fichero alternativo que existe para poderte coger el feed de los comentarios. Seguro que no hay un wp-comments.php por ahi? En cualquier caso lo que tienes que buscar es la parte del fichero donde esta el form, que es donde el usuario introduce su nombre y el comentario. Es por ahi donde tiene que ir el codigo de coffelius.
Mira a ver si encuentras el fichero y si sigues teniendo problemas me lo dices

Is this plugin being developed for new WordPress versions? WordPress 2.0 has hooks that make it unnecessary to change the code of *every* theme (no more “coffelius was here” copy&paste)…
