I believe wordpress is sending something which alerts the spammer right when you install, and my guess is that the bot he uses probably reeds the pingomatic rss feed which comes by default in the wp install. You can find it in the ping section, Options>Writing. http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

Do you know what I mean? Yes! you start getting spam right after install, don’t you find that suspicious?

I recommend that in version 1.3 they erase this domain from the opitions section.

So my advice. Just after you install, while you are configuring, erase Pingomatic BEFORE YOU DO YOUR FIRST POST!

Tan solo podemos ver el mundo en fragmentos, cada uno conteniendo diferentes sentimientos hacia las cosas que contemplamos y los conceptos que las representan, pero no tenemos seguridad sobre ellos en absoluto por la fragmentación de los pensamientos. Si pudieramos congelar todos esos fragmentos de pensamientos y verlos desde fuera, ¿podrían ser cristalizados en una entidad única como es esta pintura? Los distintos pensamientos sobre algo que pasan con rápidos flashes por la mente, casi sin poder concentrarte en algo concreto otorgándole un significado.

El arbol se hace arbol de sus raíces pero, cuales se hunden más profundas sus raices en la tierra o las ramas en el cielo?

We can only see the world in fragments, each containing feelings about the things which we contemplate and the concepts which they represent, but we have no certainty about them at all because of this fragmentation of thoughts. If we could freeze al those fragments and actually see them from outside, could they be cristalized together in a single entity such as this painting? Diferent thoughts about something that flashes quickly through the mind hardly being able to concentrate on something concretely giving it meaning.

Anti-spam plugin for wordpress

My friend Coffelius has used the human reading technique to fight the spamming bots which have been attackig our blogs. This plugin ads a graphic generated number which you need to read and then write on a new field of the post to be able to post. This way only humans will be able to comment a post.
We won’t need to keep comments moderated which is a pain in the A**
All you need to do is copy the code blocks commented with “coffelius was here” from both files wp-comments.php and wp-comments-post.php and copy them to your original files making sure you add them on the right place. Then add the plugin file trencaspammers.php to your plugins folder and activate it.
note: you’ll probably need to change the line calling the file with your complete domain url

Mi amigo Coffelius ha usado la técnica de lectura humana para luchar contra los bots de los spammers que han estado atacando nuestros blogs. Este plugin añade un número generado gráficamente que necesitas leer y luego escribir en un nuevo campo del comentario para poder hacer el post. De esta manera solo los humanos podrán hacer comentarios.
Ya no necesitaremos mantener los comentarios moderados que tanto tiempo nos llevan.
Lo único que necesitas es copiar los bloques de código comentado con “coffelius was here” de ambos ficheros wp-comments y wp-comments-post.php y añadir el fichero del plugin trencaspammers.php a tu carpeta de plugins y activarlo. Probablemente necesites cambiar la linea que llama al fichero con tu dominio completo. Eso es todo.

He decidido que voy a poner aquí algunos bocetos que hice con el painter sobre circuitos. Tened en cuenta que algunos tienen ya más de un año. De momento no estoy trabajando más el tema. He decidido que limita mi expresión y que debo moverme hacia la abstracción pura.
Pero la abstracción es un proceso largo y difícil. Me encuentro siempre dando bandazos entre lo figurativo y lo abstracto. A veces solo quiero que la pintura exprese un sentimiento o un arquetipo. Otras veces sin embargo siento que debo poner objetos concretos, que como palabras en una poesía, crean el contexto y producen la emoción del momento. ¿Como podría si no expresar lo que siento con el sol el viento el mar y los pájaros en un dia de verano?
Y cuando quiero reflejar mi interior me vuelvo más abstracta, ya que los objetos no harían más que enturbiar un concepto que no se puede expresar con otros conceptos. Si lo que busco es la verdad es necesario buscar un lenguaje propio que exprese esos sentimientos, construyendo con cada cuadro un fragmento de esa verdad, que no es sino la búsqueda.
Y el problema que tuve con los circuitos fue que aun siendo abstracto y la belleza la lograba gracias al equilibrio de las formas y la composición, el concepto era tremendamente fuerte y solo hablaba de tecnología. Era como si intentara expresar mi yo con una máscara de conceptos. Y claro, no me sentía satisfecha. Trabajos bien hechos y bonitos pero carentes de un significado realmente profundo.
Pero tal vez eso si que refleje una cosa, tal vez yo como parte de la humanidad haya visto como la tecnología nos fascina y nos oculta el verdadero Mundo. Tal vez sea lo que haya descubierto al abandonar mi propia fascinación.

I’ve decided I’m going to post some of the sketches about circuits I made with Corel Painter. Take in consideration they are more than a year old now. At the moment I’m not working on this subject anylonger. I’ve decided it limits my expression and that I need to work towards pure abstraction.
But abstraction is a long and hard process. I find myself moving between the figurative and the abstract. Sometimes I only want my painting to express a feeling or an arquetipe. Other times however, I feel I need to portray concrete objects, that work as words in poetry, creating a context and producing an emotion about the moment. How else could I express what I feel about the sun, the wind, the sea and the birds in a warm summers day?
And when what I want is to reflect my interior I turn more abstract, since objects wouldn’t but shadow a concept which can’t be constructed from other concepts. If what I’m looking for is for truth then I need to find my own language that can express those feelings, building with each new piece a fragment of that truth, which is the seeking itself.
The problem I had with circuits whas that although they were abstract and beauty was a achieved through craft, balance of the forms and composition, the preveiling concept was so strong that it only spoke about technology. It was as if I were trying to express myself with a mask of concepts and of course, I was not satisfied with that. Works well done, pretty but without profound meaning.
But at least that might reflect one thing. Perhaps I, as part of our humanity, have realised how technology fascinates us and hides the real World from our eyes. Perhaps that’s what I’ve discovered once I was able to shed my own fascination.

I wrote this to a young artist who sounded unsure about his direction in life, young as he is not being 21 yet.

I had seen Dali when I studied in St. Pete Florida. Now I live near Barcelona and I’ve seen the Dali Museum in Figueras. Just recently in April we went to see the Dali exhibition in CaixaForum.
For an artist which I haven’t liked much as a painter, I must confess I’ve seen a lot of his work.
